category showing increases on a global
scale: between 1996 and 2006 Irish whiskey
grew by 5% (CAGR) - the only whisk(e)y
category to show this sort of growth. Annual
sales of Irish whiskey are currently 3.2
million cases (9 litre equivalent).
The origins
of Tullamore
Dew Irish
whiskey
can be traced back to 1829 when the Distillery
was founded in Tullamore, County Offaly,
situated in the heart of Ireland. The original
site now hosts a Heritage Centre where
the full history is on display.
